Aly & AJ Concert

Wow what a show! Aly & AJ came to Wild Adventures over the weekend and they both put on a good show. The wife and I took Katelynn, while little man stayed home with Grandma. I was pretty familiar with Aly & AJ having seen their music videos on the Disney Channel - which is on at our house 24/7. And Aly had gotten her start of the Disney show Phil of the Future.

My wife and I expected your typical pop star act, but these girls can rock. They played either guitar or keyboard on almost every song. They even ended one song playing the bongo drums. The backup band was great, and the drum solo at the end was awesome.

Typical at Wild Adventures they actually expect you to sit down during the concerts. What ever! You can pretty much see the concert for free with admission to the park, but if you want to sit up close, you have to pay extra for reserved sitting. Well worth it if you want to see good. Though I will say the addition of two jumbo screens is nice and allows for those in the back to see the action.

I was able to get some really good pictures when everyone rushed the stage at the end. I almost got the guitar pick from Aly but got bum rushed by several screaming girls. Also tried to talk the security guard into handing me her bottled water. Told him I wanted to sell it on eBay but he wouldn't give. :)

We missed the first opening act - I don't even know who it was - and we just made it for the last couple of songs of the second opening act Brock Storm. He did pretty good and we saw him after the concert signing autographs. Oh yeah, and we just had to get Katelynn an Aly & AJ convert t-shirt. It was cool see Valdosta listed on there!
